Gem of Light
This Gem radiates illumination in a 30 foot radios. It can be turned on and off by the wielder or by command words.
Once per day the gem can strobe with a strong light for one round, any thing with in 10 feet must make a DC 11 will save or be dazed for 1 round.
Once per week the gem can be used to focus light, the wielder makes a ranged touch attack, if they succeed the target is blinded for 1d4 rounds. (reflex DC 14 makes them dazed for 1 round
Lastly, the gem can be commanded to detonate and then thrown. Anything within a 20 foot radios is blinded for 1 round, they must also make a save (fort dc 14) of be dazed for 1d4 rounds. If the creature is susceptible to sun light, this will deal 6d6 damage, DC 18 will save for 1/2.
These once common and potent magic items were originally crafted by dwarves and sold to other races who were venturing into their mountain home. While they are not difficult to craft, the recipe is not well know compared to in previous centenary where it was the first item of power most young mages would craft.
