Atwood Manor

Harlan Brimstone’s estate is vast. Built upon one of his first major finds: an unearthed, derelict catacomb (the Zoltish Barrows) which ancient peoples worshiped as a place of great power and magic. It was this excavation that started Harlan’s thirst for the odd and macabre.

The manor itself is home to dozens of servants, gardeners, visiting scholars and businessmen. It is a constant hive of activity.

Nearly every surface of the inside of the house is covered with exceedingly rare oddities and trinkets from Harlan’s personal collection. His personal collection is mostly exotic, quasi-magical relics (like, ancient reliquaries that to supplement the Saint’s bones have minor restoration spells on them, so that worshipers would feel ‘the holy spirit’). Lots of macabre pieces (e.g., ancient religious torture devices; antique exotic weapons; exotic skeletons and taxidermy; lost or forbidden texts, scrolls and books). The vast majority of these pieces are in disrepair and are valuable due to their history or rarity, not their usefulness: It’s more Antiques Roadshow than armory.
